Privacy Policy

The short version

Your microphone audio, camera video, keystrokes, mouse events and screen tests never leave your device. They are processed by JavaScript running in your browser and displayed back to you. We do not receive them, store them, or share them, because there is no mechanism by which we could.

Media from your microphone and camera

When you press a test button, your browser asks for permission and then hands the stream directly to the page. The page analyses it locally using the Web Audio API and the canvas element. Any recording you make with the record button is held in your browser's memory and, if you press download, saved to your own device. Closing the tab discards it.

You can confirm this. Open developer tools, select the Network tab, and run a test. After the page and its script load, no further requests carry your data.

What is collected automatically

Like any website, our servers and analytics receive standard technical information when you visit: browser type and version, operating system, the pages you viewed, approximate country-level location derived from your IP address, and the site you arrived from. This is used to understand which tools are used and to find pages that are broken. It is not used to identify you.

Cookies

We may use cookies for analytics and advertising. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time, and every tool on this site will continue to work normally, because none of them depend on cookies.

Advertising

This site is supported by advertising and may use third-party ad networks including Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google uses the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on visits to this site and others on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

Analytics

We may use an analytics service to count visits and see which pages are used. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Some pages link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we recommend reviewing the policy of any site you visit.

Your choices

Because we do not create accounts or store personal data about you, there is no profile to request, export or delete. To reduce what is collected automatically, block third-party cookies in your browser or use a private window. Every tool continues to work either way.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of it.
